“It’s so great that you like the Steel Samurai as much as I do, Mr. Edgeworth!” Maya grins, fidgeting with her magatama. “There’s not a lot of fans who aren’t like, eight years old.” She chuckles.

“Yes, it is a shame that people don’t realize how the show could appeal to an older audience.” Miles looks over at the Steel Samurai figure behind his desk. Before learning about her interest in the Steel Samurai, Miles didn’t think of Maya as anything more than a friend of Phoenix. But having something in common with the medium, something he was so passionate about and had wanted someone to dump his thoughts about it for years, gave them something to bond over. He was certainly glad to have someone to talk about the series that met so much to him.

“Yeah, I used to be able to talk to one of my sister’s friends sister about it, but she kinda lost interest.” Maya’s gaze drifted towards the floor. “And I’ve tried to get Nick to watch it with me, but he just doesn’t get it!” She childishly pouts.

Miles thinks back to when both he and Phoenix were children, and all the tv shows that they invested themselves in. Of course, none of them could rival the Steel Samurai. Though the show had ended years ago, it still had a large fanbase and numerous mediocre spin-offs.

“That is true, but I will tell you that I’ve watched quite a few episodes with him.” He smiles, something the man doesn’t do often, “and he’s said that he enjoys your enthusiasm.”

Maya lights up. “I knew he’d come around eventually.”
